Daylight lenses block 75% of the disruptive blue light from screens and artificial lighting in indoor spaces. They filter out the wavelengths that drain your focus and fatigue your eyes—while letting in the energizing light. Use them indoors during the daytime. Use them often. Use them wherever artificial light hijacks your clarity.

FAQ

The program is ideal for prescription wearers who spend 6+ hours per day on screens and experience eye strain, headaches, or digital fatigue; existing TrueDark customers who have been doubling up with contacts + non-Rx Daylights or using clip-ons as a workaround; biohackers and circadian health optimizers who want all-in-one prescription + junk light filtering in a single pair; professionals in tech, finance, healthcare, creative, and remote-work environments; individuals with photosensitivity, light-triggered migraines, or sensitivity to artificial lighting; and adults 25–55 seeking a premium, science-backed eyewear upgrade.

Daylights Amber lenses are currently available in prescription (single vision). Twilight Rx lenses are actively in development. Sunset Rx lenses are not available at this time due to manufacturing constraints.

The TrueDark Rx Program currently supports single vision prescriptions only. Progressive and bifocal lenses are not available at this time.

The following ranges are supported across all four compatible frames: Sphere (Hyperopia/Farsighted): +0.25 to +3.00D | Sphere (Myopia/Nearsighted): −0.25 to −8.00D | Cylinder (Astigmatism): 0.00 to −2.00D (in 0.25D increments) | Axis: 1°–180° (required when cylinder is not 0). Prescriptions outside these ranges cannot be fulfilled and will not be processed.

Unfortunately, prescriptions outside the supported parameters cannot be fulfilled at this time due to manufacturing constraints. We recommend monitoring truedark.com for updates as the program expands. In the meantime, you can use non-prescription Daylights glasses over contact lenses as an alternative.

Pupillary Distance (PD) is the measurement in millimeters between the center of your right pupil and the center of your left pupil. It is used to position the optical center of each lens directly in front of your pupils, ensuring accurate vision correction and comfort. TrueDark Rx requires a monocular PD (each eye measured separately from the nose bridge), with a minimum of 28mm per eye. Your PD is often listed on your eyeglass prescription. If it’s not included, your eye doctor can provide it, or you can measure it at home using a PD ruler and a mirror.

Ask your optometrist or ophthalmologist — they are legally required to provide your PD upon request in most U.S. states. Alternatively, you can use a printed PD ruler and a mirror to measure it yourself. Many online optical retailers (such as Zenni and EyeBuyDirect) offer digital PD measurement tools using your phone camera and a standard credit card for scale.

Your prescription must be dated within the past 2 years from a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist. Expired prescriptions cannot be accepted.

Because Rx lenses are custom manufactured to your prescription, lead times are longer than standard orders. Estimated production and shipping time is approximately 7–14 business days from the time your prescription is verified and your order is confirmed. Final timelines will be confirmed at checkout.

Because prescription lenses are custom manufactured to your exact Rx values, they are non-returnable once your order has been submitted to the lab. Please review your prescription details carefully before submitting. If you believe there is a manufacturing defect or error, contact TrueDark support at info@truedark.com.

Please double-check all prescription values before submitting your order, as Rx orders cannot be changed or cancelled once submitted to the lab. If you believe a manufacturing or transcription error occurred on our end, contact us immediately at info@truedark.com and we will work to resolve the issue.
