I’ve tried multiple blue light blocking glasses from the orange construction glasses to fancy orange aviator glasses and to be honest, these are the best performing ones I’ve had. They really fully block blue light with their deep orange color and the pad around the glasses that prevent light from coming in on the sides. I can now easily fall asleep within 10 minutes even after reading books on my tablet in bed. These have also been very helpful while traveling to sleep on the plane and help with jet lag on arrival. Definitely recommend!

Hi Sajid, I’m sorry about your concern regarding light leakage. Everyone’s head is a little different but we’ve found that wearing a hat or cap can help stop light leaking in from the top with the Twilights. For the Daywalkers, some light leakage is desirable.

Hi Robert, Thanks for your review! I just wanted to check that you are not wearing your Twilights (the red ones) while driving. It’s tempting to do that with all the weird light and glares that you get while on the road, but please be aware that we don’t consider it safe — the color desaturation makes it difficult to distinguish various signalling lights and can also vary your depth perception. Wearing the Daywalkers (yellow) while driving is fine and very effective.
Have been using mine for about a week now and love them. I can’t wait to try them on travel. And going to start tracking my sleep with them. I’m noticing I’m dream more.

I have had the TrueDark glasses for a few weeks now and am so happy with this purchase. When I decide to sit down and watch some TV in the evening, I put them on and my eyes are immediately thankful and feel more rested. My eyes have always been very light-sensitive, and an ophthalmologist told me a long time ago to try to avoid fluorescent light. The first time I wore the TrueDarks watching TV for a short period of time, I peaked out from behind them and was absolutely astounded at how bright the TV appeared! Almost painful!! Also, it doesn’t take long at all to start feeling sleepy. Falling sleep is easy after wearing them. I am finding I do sleep better and am seeing better results tracked with my Fitbit Charge 2 (for whatever that’s worth!). I also have the Daywalker Elites and keep them next to my computer and iPad. I now don’t even look at the screen without them! If I am working on something which requires more acuity, I insert Hydrotac stick-on magnifier lenses into them. Easy. Having no difficulty cleaning the lenses. I just rinse and use a lens cloth. My eyes are feeling much more relaxed. I highly recommend these, without hesitation! Used them for the first time on my transatlantic flight going east. Usually I’m jet lagged for 4-5 days but after using the TrueDark twilight glasses for the entire 8 hour flight I not only for the first time slept 5 hours (never done that in the air before) but also experienced virtually no jet lag!!
If you are flying across timezones this is a must have! And that people are looking at you like you’re crazy in your hat and glasses is just an added bonus.

I wear my custom clear lens blue blocking glasses by day, and about an hour before sleep I will throw on my true dark glasses. Love them and sometimes I fall asleep with them on! You just feel your mind and body start getting more tired the longer you have them on. Love it

Cons. Being in the UK I got hit quite heavily with import tax and would have prefered to have paid tax at checkout to save on royal mails handling fee for the import tax which was nearly as much as the tax itself.
Can still see light coming through the top and bottom of the lenses. Design needs tweaking for this and the fact that everyone’s face is slightly different. Seeing/being aware that the light is coming through does leave you wondering if you are getting 100% out of them.
Pros. Around a month into their use and whilst I’m not seeing any increased length in sleep I have noticed I’m wanting to sleep a little quicker after putting them on and I am dreaming slightly more. Time will tell if the duration of sleep will improve with their continued use.

You’ll be happy to know that the slight amount of light that leaks in doesn’t actually affect your sleep as much as you’d think! We’ve performed testing using EEG and neuromapping equipment on participants and found that the glasses are still very effective.
Many folks find that our Twilight glasses don’t always make them sleep for longer, but instead do as you described and help you fall asleep faster and more soundly. When your eyes aren’t stimulated by light, your brain thinks it’s dark out and releases certain hormones that assist in regulating your circadian rhythm.
