How it works
The specific wavelengths in the Energy Square can generate Nitric Oxide (NO). The release of NO dilates blood vessels and allows for greater cellular energy production. The result is increased cellular activity that can to promote healing, muscle recovery, and tissue strengthening. Learn more about the process here. ATP production can also be stimulated by red and near-infrared light.
Note: it’s not just any light that will promote healing. It takes certain wavelengths, and a pulse OR a constant beam of light, depending on your needs, in order to have a true effect. In addition to the unique 4 wavelengths that it emits, TrueLight also includes the ability to switch between constant and pulsing mode. When certain frequencies of LED lights are pulsed, body tissue can heal more rapidly (Source). In a nutshell, the cell is stimulated to produce more protein than it normally does. As a result, the cell can heal faster. On the other hand, when the light is continuous, it can dull pain, reduce inflammation and allow muscle tissue to relax.
