Nitric Oxide: it’s a gas!
In 1992 Nitric Oxide was proclaimed “molecule of the year” by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. By 1998 its physiological importance garnered a Nobel Prize for the scientists who discovered it as a key molecule in the cardiovascular system which helps keep blood vessels healthy and regulate blood pressure. Since then, nitric oxide has also been found to be essential to the immune system and to the nervous system (including the brain) as well as integral with many chronic health conditions and diseases, such as chronic inflammation, erectile dysfunction, and cancer. This has led researchers to focus on nitric oxide as a potential target for medical therapies.
How does Light Therapy work with Nitric Oxide?
Simply put, a series of metabolic events occur with the releasing of nitric oxide when a light therapy device, such as TrueLight™ emits 630nm, 660nm, and 850nm light wavelengths, which are easily absorbed by hemoglobin in the bloodstream and other body tissue.

How is Nitric Oxide good for you?
Your endothelium is tissue that forms a single layer of cells lining various organs and cavities of the body, especially the blood vessels, heart, and lymphatic vessels. When it senses heart-healthy conditions, such as physical activity and low cholesterol, it releases more nitric oxide. That’s a very good thing. Nitric oxide expands the blood vessels, increasing blood flow and decreasing plaque growth and blood clotting.
Why not just take Nitric Oxide supplements?
Nitric oxide supplements do not actually provide nitric oxide, which is a gas. Instead, they generally contain L-arginine which can, in some people, increase nitric oxide.
