TrueDark Daywalker lenses filter out the most extreme, artificial blue “junk” light that most man-made light sources display. This includes overhead fluorescent and “CFL” lighting that is in most offices and retail shopping stores. Constant exposure to this lighting can cause eye fatigue, headaches, poor sleep and a host of other conditions. Use TrueDark Daywalker when you are indoors, working on computers, watching TV, or anywhere else junk light may impact your performance.
Daywalkers come in multiple styles. Most are designed to be used straight out of their box. Simply remove the protective packing material and begin wearing anytime you’re in junk light environments.
When ordering a boxed set that includes Daywalker Classic with a prescription insert, please follow these instructions:
- To remove the prescription insert, firmly pull it backwards directly away from the lines at the nose bridge location.
- Your local optometrist can put prescription lenses in the insert, which can then be easily clicked back into the glasses. If you don’t require a prescription, you can either discard the insert or save it in the event your eyesight changes in the future.
When to Wear TrueDark® Daywalker
Use TrueDark Daywalker glasses in the late afternoons or evenings when you’re indoors. They are great for both inside and outside activities, but are most effective in filtering out harsh, man-made, artificial light. This junk light is omnipresent — found in office buildings, grocery stores and shopping malls; and while watching TV, using a computer, tablet and/or your smartphone.
Pro-tip: Planes are filled with 100% junk light.Wear TrueDark Daywalkers during air travel, especially during daytime flights when you expect to land a few hours before you’ll be going to sleep.
Once you’re safely at your hotel or home, switch to wearing TrueDark Twilight glasses 30+ minutes before you go to bed. If you’re taking a red eye flight, wear your Twilights for the entire flight so that your mind and body stay relaxed enough to sleep.
Caution: Tiredness and changes in depth perception can affect your mobility. Avoid driving, using heavy machinery or other actions while using TrueDark technology.
